The two boards
There are two public boards and both are ranked by money.
All time is the main board. A listing is ranked by the sum of every payment ever made for it. That total never expires and it never resets. Right now the top spot costs $9.
Today is ranked by payments made in the last 24 hours. It is a rolling window, not a calendar day. A payment starts counting the moment it clears and drops off exactly 24 hours later. A listing with a large all time total but no payment in that window does not appear on the today board at all. Right now the top spot there costs $9.
What things cost
Whole dollars only
Every amount is a whole number of US dollars. The minimum is $1 and there is no maximum. Cents, fractions and decimals are rejected in the browser and again on the server. If a price ever looks like it has a decimal in it, something is wrong and the payment will not go through.
A new listing
A new listing pays the full amount it wants to hold, and lands at whatever rank that amount earns. Pay $1 and you are on the board at the bottom. Pay more and you start higher.
Outranking someone
To rank above any listing, including number one, your total has to be at least $1 more than theirs. Matching their total is not enough, because ties are broken in favour of whoever got there first. If number one holds $52, a new listing pays $53 and takes the top spot.
Raising a listing you already have
Enter the same link again. The site recognises it, shows you its current total, and treats the payment as a top up. The new total has to be at least $1 above the current one, and checkout charges only the difference. If your listing holds $50 and number one holds $52, you pay $3, your total becomes $53, and you take the top spot.

Today board pricing
Taking today's number one needs at least $1 more than the highest amount anyone else has paid in the last 24 hours. A top up counts toward Today at the amount actually charged, not at the all time total it produces. Paying $3 to reach a $53 all time total contributes $3 to the today board.
Ties
Equal totals are ordered by who got there first. The older listing keeps the higher rank. This is why passing someone always costs at least one dollar more than their total rather than the same amount.
Links
Query parameters are removed
Every link is normalised before it is stored. The scheme and host are lowercased, the fragment is removed, a trailing slash is removed, www is removed, and query parameters are stripped. Tracking links, campaign tags and affiliate links will not survive this, so do not pay expecting them to work. Submit the plain destination.
There is one exception. A few sites put the identity of the product in the query string rather than the path, Google Play being the obvious one. On those the identifying parameter is kept, because otherwise every app on that host would collapse into a single listing. Everything else in the query string is still removed.
For app stores, extension stores and code repositories the path is kept, because different products share the same host. For an ordinary website the path is dropped, so one domain is one listing.
Link shorteners are replaced
If you submit a shortener such as bit.ly or t.co, the server follows it up to three hops and stores the destination instead. The shortener itself is never stored, so you cannot use one to point a listing somewhere else after the fact.
What is not allowed
- Anything that is not an http or https link.
- Hosts that resolve to a private, local or reserved address.
- Adult and sexually explicit sites. These are blocked by domain and the blocklist is maintained by the site owner.
A listing that breaks these rules can be switched off or removed by the site owner at any time. Payments made for it are not refunded.
Listing details
The title, the description and the icon are read from the page you submit. They cannot be typed in or edited. The site fetches the page, reads its Open Graph tags, and uses what it finds. The icon is downloaded and stored on this server rather than loaded from the original site.
This keeps the board honest. Nobody can write a headline that has nothing to do with where the link goes, and nobody can rewrite a listing they do not control by starting a checkout and walking away from it. The one thing you choose is the category.
If you want a listing to read differently, change the title, description or social image on the page itself. If the site cannot read a page at all, the listing falls back to a name based on the link, and shows a plain placeholder with the first letter of that name instead of an icon. Payment
A completed payment is what claims a rank. Not starting a checkout, not reaching the payment page, not closing the tab halfway through. The board changes only when Dodo Payments confirms the payment directly to this server. That confirmation usually arrives within seconds.
If you abandon a checkout, nothing is charged and the board does not change. The attempt is recorded as pending and has no effect on any rank.
Payments are not refundable. You are paying for a position on a public board, and that position is delivered as soon as the payment clears. Somebody paying more than you later is the whole point of the site, not a fault to be refunded.
What ranking does not mean
Rank on this site measures one thing: money paid. It is not a review, a recommendation, a ranking of quality, or any kind of endorsement by the site owner. Treat every listing as a paid placement, because that is exactly what it is.
Outbound links carry rel="noopener nofollow ugc", so they pass no search ranking value.
